Discussion JRI Housing

JRI has taken a leadership role in the development of supported housing, offering access to specially set-aside rental subsidies and supportive services to individuals and families living with HIV/AIDS throughout Massachusetts. JRI’s Assisted Living Program provides access to 435 of the state’s affordable housing vouchers, specially set aside for people living with HIV/AIDS (PLWHA). Housing subsidies include Section 8, HOPWA, and Shelter Plus Care. All eligible households must be homeless or at risk of homelessness. Case managers provide necessary supports that ensure clients are linked to affordable housing and maintain positive health outcomes. Through long-term partnerships with Massachusetts Regional Housing Authorities, JRI coordinates access to vouchers and oversees leasing for each client.
