This session provides an introduction to trauma and helps participants understand how trauma may affect their clients. We review some of the more challenging behaviors clients sometimes exhibit (losing their temper, no-showing, blaming the worker) and explore ways these actions may be adaptations to trauma. We also help participants think about their own button pushers and frustrations in working with traumatized clients.
