Children's Advocacy Center

The Children’s Advocacy Center of Bristol County, a program of JRI, provides a compassionate, coordinated response to child sexual abuse, severe physical abuse, exploitation, and witness to violence for children and adults with intellectual disabilities across Bristol County, MA.

Our mission is to empower children and families to heal through community partnerships, education, and the pursuit of justice.

Accredited by the National Children’s Alliance, we are part of a network of 900+ centers nationwide.

The CAC Approach

CAC forms a multi-disciplinary team for each forensic interview, including:

  • Law Enforcement
  • Department of Children & Families
  • Bristol County DA’s Office
  • MA Department of Public Health PediSANE Program
  • Community-based agency partners

In addition, CAC staff:

  • Protect & Advocate after disclosures of abuse
  • Support Trauma-Informed Healing for children and families
  • Educate the community on prevention
