Developing Abilities Residential Services and Supports ensures that individuals with significant learning needs enjoy the same quality of home life as their peers and families. Our approach honors the little things that make daily life meaningful, focusing on fostering independence and providing the necessary resources to create a fulfilling and rewarding home environment. Whether you're just beginning adulthood, navigating mid-life, or adjusting to the changes of the elder years, we offer a variety of personalized residential models to support your journey.
We offer homes for individuals with complex health conditions to support medical fragility and mobility needs. Our experienced staff provides the necessary care and support to help you live comfortably and engage with your community. Our Clinical Care Managers coordinate with healthcare specialists to ensure your well-being. We have expertise in managing respiratory care, G-tube feedings, ABI, severe seizure disorders, metabolic diseases, diabetes, dementia, and geriatric care.
We provide small group living homes for adults facing behavioral and mental health challenges. Our homes foster success and personal growth through Positive Behavioral Supports, autism-informed approaches, trauma-informed practices, and enhanced consultation with clinical staff. We coordinate with external therapists and psychiatrists, and our experienced staff work as a team to help you develop positive coping strategies and shape your behavior to reflect your best self.
We offer support when needed, whether you live independently, with your spouse and children, or with housemates. Our Individual Home Supports help you manage household responsibilities, financial obligations, medical appointments, social and recreational activities, and transportation. We also provide 24-hour consultation to ensure your needs are met.
Although we are temporarily not accepting Shared Living referrals, our program matches community caregivers with adults with intellectual or developmental needs who want to live together. Shared Living allows individuals to live safely and comfortably in unique community households.
We recruit, screen, and train caregivers who are interested in welcoming a person with a disability as an equal member of their household or establishing a new household together. Our ongoing support, training, and consultation ensure that these arrangements continue to meet the needs of all parties involved.
