PEACE

PEACE is a Coordinated Specialty Care program dedicated to helping individuals who are experiencing early signs of psychosis, such as changes in thoughts, social functioning, or hallucinations. By addressing these symptoms early, our team works to reduce the risk of recurrence and supports individuals in achieving optimal recovery.

The PEACE team offers a safe, stigma-free environment where individuals and families can openly discuss their experiences and receive the support they need for a hopeful future.

Our Approach

Psychosis can be challenging to talk about, often due to the stigma portrayed in media and society. However, it's more common than many realize, and with the right support, individuals can manage their symptoms and lead fulfilling lives. The PEACE program uses the NAVIGATE treatment model, a proven approach focusing on education, open discussion, and coordinated care. Our goal is to empower both individuals and their families with the knowledge and resources they need for recovery.

The following roles are integral to our approach:

Master’s Level Therapist

Each participant in the PEACE program is paired with a Master’s level therapist who guides them through the recovery process. Using the NAVIGATE treatment model, therapists focus on education, support, and coordinated care with other providers to ensure a comprehensive approach to treatment.

Young Adult Peer Mentor

Peer Mentors offer unique insights and support, drawing from their own experiences with mental health challenges. They provide individual coaching and perspective, helping to amplify the young person’s voice in meetings and in daily life activities.

Family Partner

Family Partners are parents or caregivers who have supported their own children through mental health challenges. They offer a listening ear, practical advice on navigating the mental health system, and encouragement for families to advocate for their needs and care for themselves.
