Younity Access Center

Younity is dedicated to creating a welcoming and inclusive space where youth and young adults, can find the respect and support they deserve. Every aspect of our access center, from the physical environment to our services and programs, is shaped by the voices of the young people we serve.

We specialize in supporting LGBTQIA2S+ youth and those who have faced challenges such as substance use, housing instability, and unmet mental health needs. Through a Peer Support model, Younity offers a variety of individual and group activities, helping youth overcome barriers, explore their passions, and work toward their goals.

Whether dropping in for Open Mic night, accessing harm reduction supplies, or just using the laundry and WiFi, Younity provides a safe space where young people can thrive.

Younity Programs and Services

Our dedicated staff works closely with young people to offer a range of recreational and psychoeducational groups that celebrate shared interests and foster self-empowerment. Programs include:

  • Open Art Studio
  • Youth Advisory Board
  • Early 20s Peer Support
  • Magic the Gathering
  • Dungeons & Dragons

We also host special events throughout the month, such as interpersonal skill development workshops, job and financial planning sessions, free and anonymous STI testing, and harm reduction workshops.

We serve as the weekly meetup location for Cape Ann NAGLY, the Gloucester satellite for the North Shore Alliance of LGBTQIA2S+ Youth. Our programming evolves based on what our young adults want, so follow us on Instagram @younity_gloucester for the latest updates.

Services for Providers and Community Partners

Thanks to our partnership with DMH and generous funding from SAMHSA’s Healthy Transitions (HT2) Grant, Younity established a physical drop-in center in Gloucester. We encourage providers and mental health professionals in Gloucester, Cape Ann, and Essex County to consider our low-barrier drop-in center when planning transitions for their clients. Younity’s strength-based therapeutic programming is designed to reintegrate, renew, and inspire area youth.

We are actively building partnerships within the Gloucester community with organizations and businesses that share our mission of supporting youth. Our Youth Ambassadors, who engage with local YYA’s daily, partner with us in outreach efforts to ensure every young adult receives the care they need. If you are a Gloucester-based business or service interested in advocating for youth, please reach out to us.
