Training Overview • FREE training for all participants • Training Start Date: April 13, 2026 • Training Schedule: Monday - Friday 9:45 -11:30AM • Includes 4 Weeks of Hybrid Pre-Employment Training with STRIVE Boston and Job Placement assistance is provided.
Job Placement • Individualized job placement services at hospital employers in the Boston area upon successful completion of training program • Starting pay rate: $18.20 per/hour
What You Will Learn in a STRIVE Career Pathways Program
In the STRIVE Career Pathways program, you will learn a lot of useful skills to navigate the corporate workplace including;
Attitudinal Training
Resume and Cover Letter Building
Professional Devlopment Training
Math and Reading Assessment (TABE Testing)
Mock Interview Techniques
Financial Literacy and Budgeting Techniques
Program Eligibility
Ability to read, write, and understand English
Must have a desire to start a career working in a hospital setting
High School Diploma, GED or equivalent required, must be 18+ years
Applicants must be vaccinated or willing to be vaccinated (COVID-19 vaccine included)
Applicants are required to successfully complete CORI & SORI background checks
Applicants must commit to completing our 4 week pre-employment training
Reside in Boston or immediate surrounding towns

Brigham and Women’s Hospital/STRIVE STRIVE Boston has partnered with the Workforce Development team at Brigham and Women’s Hospital to provide healthcare employment opportunities to those that complete the STRIVE pre-employment training. STRIVE provides recruitment, training and the right people to be successful employees. BWH provides STRIVE graduates with the opportunity to interview for select roles & the potential to secure employment.

Temp-to-perm. employment opportunities
Part time and full time available while positions last
*Opportunities also available in surrounding Boston area hospitals.

Non-practicing staff are the unsung heroes of any hospital. Any healthcare institution that values its employees results in great staff taking care of the patients. This partnership can assist in finding employment in one of the following positions:

Jewish Vocational Services (JVS)/STRIVE STRIVE Boston has partnered with JVS to provide healthcare certification training following the completion of the STRIVE Career Pathways training program. STRIVE provides recruitment, training and the right people to be successful students & employees. JVS provides STRIVE graduates with the opportunity to enroll in and complete healthcare certification trainings. STRIVE & JVS will then work congruently to assist in job placement.

Which JVS trainings are available with this partnership?
While JVS offers various job training programs, STRIVE graduates are eligible to enroll into specific healthcare JVS training programs. The following training programs are available with JVS:
The first step in the enrollment process is to attend an info session. We are having information sessions every week at 1 pm. Info sessions take place on Mondays, Tuesdays and/or Thursdays. To register for an info session, click the link below on a date you wish to attend:
JRI's intensive residential treatment programs, clinics, and community-based services are accredited by the Joint Commission. JRI's residential schools, group homes, day habilitation and Huntington at Symphony are accredited by CARF.
