Who are JRI Interns?

Our interns typically come from Bachelor's or Master's programs in mental/behavioral health, social work, or human services. They are eager to transform classroom knowledge into real-world experience and actively engage in the field.

Why Intern at JRI?

At JRI, we are committed to fostering a workplace where every team member feels valued and respected. We believe that a culture built on mutual respect, collaboration, and opportunity allows our staff to thrive and do their best work. By supporting one another and recognizing each person's contributions, we create an environment where people can grow, develop their skills, and make a meaningful impact in the communities we serve.

Interns are integral to our mission. As a JRI intern, you'll contribute to providing essential human services for children, families, and individuals in need. You will challenge and reshape traditional service models through research-driven training and programming.

Mentorship and Support

At JRI, we ensure our interns feel fully supported as they dedicate their time and skills to our mission. Our Mentoring program matches seasoned mentors with mentees across the entire agency to foster post-internship connections and enrich professional development goals.

As part of our social justice commitment, we encourage everyone who works with us to engage in the multiple safe spaces for honest and open exchanges, sharing, caring, supporting, and learning.

Other safe spaces offer trauma-based support, and all forum participants are encouraged to provide suggestions for the JRI leadership team.

Our staff and interns reflect our communities and embody JRI’s deep commitment to social justice and human service.
