About Boston GLASS

GLASS (GLBTQ+ Adolescent Social Services), part of JRI Health, is a welcoming and culturally affirming program serving LGBTQ+ youth of color (and their allies) aged 13–29 in the Greater Boston area. With a drop-in community center in Jamaica Plain, GLASS offers a comprehensive continuum of care—ranging from mental health counseling and clinical case management to peer support, leadership development, and drop-in activities like workshops, social events, and access to essentials (food, toiletries, internet, clothing). We provide free, confidential HIV/STI testing, safer-sex supplies, same-day STI treatment, and PrEP services (for ages 16+) in a judgment‑free environment. Our team also collaborates with schools, families, and health providers through mobile testing and tailored cultural‑competency training. GLASS is more than a program—it’s a vibrant, youth‑driven community empowering young people to thrive.

Behavioral Health Services

Our counselors provide culturally responsive mental health support and clinical case management. Services focus on the coming out process, gender identity transitions, healthy coping strategies, and support for family, work, and school issues. Available at our Boston location, we offer both drop-in sessions at GLASS and in-home therapy.

Prevention Services

We offer free and confidential prevention and testing services for HIV, Hepatitis C, and STIs such as Chlamydia, Gonorrhea, and Syphilis. Testing is provided Monday through Friday, and no appointment is necessary at both locations. We also provide same-day PrEP and STI treatment. Living with HIV? Visit our Boston site for STI testing, support groups, health navigation, and one-on-one support.

Youth Opportunities

Youth can access a peer community, educational opportunities, field trips, social events, one-on-one mentorship, and leadership and employment opportunities. We employ youth leaders for public health work and offer opportunities to join our advisory board or participate in short-term projects.

Services for Providers and Community Partners

GLASS extends its HIV/STI testing and counseling services to community partners through a mobile team that travels to events and organizations around Boston and Framingham. We also offer cultural competency workshops on topics relevant to the LGBTQ+ youth community, tailored to your needs and available on a sliding scale.

Our Team

No team members found.

GLASS has allowed me to be the me I want to be without fear of being rejected, judged, and shamed for being myself compared to how the world usually treats me, so I'm forever grateful to them.
