Bisser Dokov named CFO at JRI

JRI, a provider of trauma-informed care to children and families in Massachusetts, Rhode Island, and Connecticut, has appointed Bisser Dokov as Chief Financial Officer.

Dokov, a resident of Brookline, joined JRI in 1996 as an assistant accountant and was promoted into finance positions of increasing responsibility at JRI over the past 20 years. Most recently, Dokov held the position of budget director, where he was responsible for managing budget allocations, expenditures and fund balances, and preparing the company’s annual financial filings.

“Having worked in our finance department in most every role for over 20 years, there is no one more qualified to become our CFO than Bisser,” said Andy Pond, President and CEO of JRI.  “Bisser’s proven ability to manage the finance function in a way that fully supports our mission-driven organization will continue to prove invaluable to our organization as he moves into this new leadership role.”

"I am excited by this new leadership opportunity in my career,” said Dokov.  “I look forward to the opportunity to lead a team in developing innovative approaches to maximizing our resources and supporting JRI in its important work.”

Dokov holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and Economics from American University in Bulgaria, and a Graduate Diploma in Professional Accounting and an MBA, both from Suffolk University.
