Opioid Epidemic Causes Surge in Need for Brockton Foster Parents

The Brockton Enterprise recently published an article about the need for foster parents in southeastern Massachusetts.

“A tremendous demand for foster care, particularly in Southeastern Massachusetts, is another effect of our opioid epidemic here,” Robert Costa, the program director for JRI’s Comprehensive Foster Care program, said in a statement. “Many of the children that come to us have been traumatized at a young age and are in dire need of a loving support system to help them cope and heal.”
